Roy Sanchez, a San Diego native, has been shaping surfboards for over 40 years. He’s worked with some of the industry’s most respected brands like Rusty, Channel Islands, Bing, Christenson, Pat Rawson, and more. Known among fellow craftsmen as one of the hardest workers in the business, Roy has even been entrusted by legends like Greg Noll to restore their classic boards.
Today, Roy is focused on building boards under his own name—each one entirely handcrafted from start to finish. Shaping, glassing, sanding, hot coats, fins, gloss, polish—he does it all. With no machines and no middlemen, every board is a direct expression of his craft: meticulous, custom, and made to order.
