The Maui Humane Society, established in 1953, is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and saving animals on Maui. They have the island’s only open-admission shelter and aim to foster respect and compassion for all animals. They offer enrichment, medical care, and behavior management, aiming to find loving homes for animals, especially those displaced by the recent wildfires. They also provide support to families in need, helping keep pets in homes. Amid the recent tragedies in Maui, MHS has set up feeding and trapping stations near Lahaina, reunited families with displaced pets, and sent 120 adopted cats to the U.S. west coast. Although they’re not a disaster response organization, they’ve been able to have a full staff and dozens of volunteers to help accomplish their efforts.
This is why we’re supporting MHS by donating 100% of online sales from August 25th through the 26th.
We believe in treating people and animals with respect, compassion, kindness and Aloha. So, let’s extend the ‘Aloha spirit’ to everyone affected by the Maui wildfires.
